It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update on my real estate investing journey, and I have some exciting news to share. I recently sold a two-unit property that I had been renting out for a few years. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about property management, but I’m ready to move on to my next adventure.
I have decided to use the proceeds from the sale of the property to purchase a small business, which is something I have always dreamed of doing. It’s been a long-time goal of mine to become a business owner and I am thrilled to now have the ability to focus all of my efforts into making this a reality.
I soft-launched this business search June of last year. It has been an eventful 8 months. I was able to get a business for sale under contract twice – one was for a construction company, and the next was a physical medicine practice with 3 physical therapy clinics. Unfortunately, both of them did not work out and negotiations went sideways.
My plan is to continue to push forward, and give it my best effort this year. I can feel it, 2023 is going be my year!
I will still be involved in real estate investing, we still have 13 doors under management. I will also be focusing more on acquiring commercial properties in the future. I am excited to have a diversified portfolio and to see how my new business venture will complement my real estate investments.
